Since 2008 the Internal Control Program has broadened its outreach to the Buffalo State community. Training is a component of the program that is reviewed continuously and continues to be developed. Look for future training opportunities to be presented and please contact Lisa Krieger if you have any questions or suggestions regarding Internal Control Program training.
Training is offered for the Business Intelligence application. This training informs state-appropriated funds managers how to use the application which will help them monitor their account spending.
On-Line Training
On-Line training is also available to all college employees. All faculty and staff are encouraged to view the following presentation and take a short quiz afterwards. The presentation ends with a link to a campus SharePoint site where campus employees may access the survey (it is really a quiz) by clicking the "Sign In" button at the upper right corner of the screen.
SUNY also provides the following Internal Control training videos for management and employees:
In conjunction with personal and professional integrity, ethics contribute to the way in which employees discharge their responsibilities in the work environment. The New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) has developed a comprehensive training course to address ethics in state government. Certain Buffalo State employees identified to participate in such training must attend a live training session and will be contacted by a representative from the Human Resource Management Office if so required.
A copy of the presentation materials prepared by JCOPE can be found here.
