Enterprise Risk Managment and Internal Controls Training
Employee training on campus is crucial for maintaining a strong internal control program. To meet the needs of our employees, this training can be delivered in various formats.
We provide ongoing training opportunities and communication channels to inform our university employees about the laws, policies, and procedures governing their roles and responsibilities at Buffalo State. This ensures that employees understand what is expected of them when discharging their duties on behalf of the university.
The Internal Control Program conducts training sessions specifically aimed at helping Buffalo State employees understand the role that internal controls play in everyday campus operations. It emphasizes each employee's responsibility to practice good internal control methods within the university.

In addition to personal and professional integrity, ethics play a significant role in how employees fulfill their responsibilities in the workplace. The New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) has developed a comprehensive training course to address ethics in state government. Certain Buffalo State employees may be required to attend a live training session as identified by the Human Resource Management Office. If you are selected for this training, a representative from our office will contact you.
Periodically, presentations may be made to the campus as a whole or selected groups of campus personnel to assist employees in managing their responsibilities on behalf of Buffalo State. Presentation documents are included on this site to the extent available.
